Question:97 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the proposals, if any, he has to seek EU funding for biomass or short rotation forestry production.
Written Answers. - Biomass Energy.
I have no proposals at present to seek EU funding for biomass, short rotation forestry production. However, in the context of an examination of alternative sources of energy by an interdepartmental committee set up by the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications and on which my Department is represented the issue of biomass is being considered.
