Question:

195 Ms McManus asked the Minister for Education if she will provide funding for the extra classroom needed at Scoil Chualann in Bray, County Wicklow in view of the fact that there are 290 students in the school and teachers presently have to teach in the library and staff room and the fact that the school has obtained planning permission for the extra room; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

An application for extra accommodation at this school has been received in my Department. My Department's professional advisers have been asked for a report in the matter. When this report is received it will be examined and a decision will be then conveyed to the school authorities.
