Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Cork City Crime Statistics.

Peter Barry

Question:

29 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Justice the value of property reported stolen throughout the country in 1993; the extent and the amount of property stolen in Cork city; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Information in relation to the value of property stolen is contained in the Garda Commissioner's annual report on crime, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. The 1993 report will be published shortly. I should, however, mention that while information on the total amount of property stolen is available, the value of property stolen in Cork city alone is not readily available.
