Question:

13 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for the Environment if he will publish the details of the monitoring of drinking water which is carried out by local authorities; if the quality of drinking water complies with all EU requirements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Wexford): Publication of reports on the monitoring of drinking water is now the responsibility of the Environmental Protection Agency. The most recent report on the quality of drinking water in Ireland, in respect of the year 1991, was published in December 1993 and laid before each House of the Oireachtas.
