Vol. 442 No. 9

Ceisteanna — Questions Written Answers. - Hospitals Funding.

Ivor Callely

Question:

35 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Health the approved funds allocated to equip the new Tallaght Hospital; the comparative allocation to equip Beaumont Hospital; if he has satisfied himself that sufficient funds have been made available to properly equip Tallaght Hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The precise equipment requirements of the new Tallaght Hospital have not yet been determined, so it is not possible at this stage to say what it will cost to equip it. I can assure the Deputy, however, that sufficient capital funding will be made available at the appropriate time, to meet the equipping costs involved.
