Pádraic McCormack

Question:

58 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Justice the number of criminal trials with juries, family law cases and trials of actions other than those relating to criminal or family law matters determined by the Circuit Court in the city of Galway in each of the years 1992 and 1993.

Question:

59 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Justice the number of days and the number of hours the Circuit Court in Galway sat in each of the years 1992 and 1993 for the determination of District Court appeals, criminal trials with juries, family law cases, other civil cases and all cases.

Question:

60 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Justice the number of District Court appeals, family law applications, criminal trials and actions other than those relating to family law and criminal law matters which are awaiting a full trial before the Circuit Court in Galway City.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 58, 59 and 60 together.

Courts statistics are not compiled in such a manner as to enable all the statistical information sought in the questions to be readily provided. However, I have made arrangements for such information as can be readily compiled to be forwarded to the Deputies as soon as possible.
