88 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a 1993 cattle headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named was paid the balance of his 1993 cattle headage grant on 28 April 1994.

89 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a cattle headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The allocations of quota premium rights to herdowners paid manually under the 1992 suckler cow premium scheme are being punched on the computer at present. When this is completed, the application of the person named for grants under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme can then be processed and any payment due will then issue.

90 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when cattle headage, suckler cow and beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The person named was paid the final instalment under the 1993 cattle headage scheme on 28 February 1994. He was also paid the balance due to him under the 1993 suckler cow premium on 16 April 1994. He applied for special beef premium on one animal in January-February 1993 but did not submit the identity card for stamping and punching although he was asked in writing for the card on 10 July and 29 November 1993. His application cannot be processed for payment until the card is submitted.

91 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received sheep headage.

The 1993 ewe premium was paid to the person named in two instalments on 25 July 1993 and 30 March 1994 and his 1993 sheep headage grant was paid on 11 November 1993.

My Department is unable to trace a herd number for the person named. The herd number quoted is the registered number for another person.

93 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive headage.

The person named was paid advances of his 1993 suckler cow premium on 25 November 1993 and his 1993 cattle headage grant on 26 November 1993. These applications are being processed further at present and any balances due will be paid shortly.

94 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive the balance of 1993 sheep premium.

Payment of the final instalment of the 1993 ewe premium will be made to the person named shortly.

95 Mr. Connolly asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Laois will be paid 30 cow suckler premia.

Payment in this case has been delayed because the 1993 area aid application of the person named was incorrectly completed. This has now been rectified and his application for grants under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme and 1993 beef cow scheme are being processed. Payment will issue within the next two weeks.

96 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when suckler cow grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo.

The person named applied on 11 cows under the small scale milk producers suckler cow scheme in 1993. He was paid an advance of £332.18 on foot of this application on 5 December 1993. This payment is an advance of 40 per cent of the premium for seven cows as this is the number he was paid on in 1992 and for which he had established automatic quota rights. The balance due for these seven cows plus the full amount for three further cows for which he obtained quota rights from the national reserve will be paid as soon as possible. The remaining animal was ineligible as it was deemed to be one of the cows required to produce his milk quota of 9,170 gallons.

97 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when 40 per cent suckler payment will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo who should have received this payment many months ago.

The person named was paid an advance of his 1993 suckler cow premium on 25 November 1993. His application is being processed further at present and any balance due will be paid shortly.

98 Mr. E. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason a person (details supplied) in County Mayo has not received the balance of his headage payments; if he will have arrangements made to pay this outstanding amount forthwith; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person named was paid advances of his 1993 cattle headage grant on 17 November 1993 and his 1993 suckler cow premium on 29 November 1993. His applications are being processed further at present and any balances due will be paid in the near future.

99 Mr. Noonan (Limerick East) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when payment under the mulder quota compensation scheme will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The offer of compensation made by my Department on behalf of the European Union was accepted by the person named on 7 February 1994.

Payments are at present being processed and will be made as soon as possible.

100 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The application of the person named for grants under the January-February 1993 special beef premium scheme was rejected at a computer validation check because of inconsistent ages.

The matter has now been resolved following clarification from the herdowner and payment will be made shortly.

101 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Cavan will be paid his June 1993 beef premium in view of the fact that this person claims that there was a problem with tags but that this was rectified; the reason this person was only paid for seven animals instead of the 13 applied for in his January 1993 application for beef premium.

The person named applied for the January 1993 special beef premium on 13 animals but six of the animals were rejected as their dates of birth were April-May 1991. The four animals born in April 1991 can now be accepted and payment will issue shortly for them but the other two born in May 1991 are under age for this scheme and no payment can be made on them.

He applied for the June 1993 special beef premium in respect of ten bullocks. Payment of the premium was delayed due to an invalid tag but the problem has now been resolved following clarification from the herdowner and payment will issue in the near future.

102 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan will be paid the final instalment of his ewe premium.

Payment of the final instalment of the 1993 ewe premium will be made to the person named shortly.

103 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan will be paid his 22 month January 1993 beef premium, 22 month June 1993 beef premium and ten month June 1993 beef premium.

As the person named did not submit an area aid application in 1993 he can only be considered for payment on a maximum of 15 livestock units under the suckler cow and special beef premium schemes.

His applications are being processed at present and any payments due will be made shortly.

104 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan will be paid his January and June 1993 beef premia.

As the person named did not submit an area aid application for 1993 payment of grants under the January/February 1993 special beef premium scheme cannot be made until it is established whether or not he had a milk quota at 1 April 1993 and whether or not he applied for ewe premium.

These matters are being investigated and if it is found that any payment is due it will be paid as soon as possible.

He was not an applicant for grants under the June 1993 special beef premium scheme.

The person name is ineligible for grants under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme as he has no quota and did not make application for allocation of quota from the national reserve.

The person named applied for suckler cow premium on seven cows under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme. His application is being processed and payment will be made in the near future.

108 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan will be paid the balance of 40 per cent of his application for 34 suckler cows.

The person named applied for suckler cow premium on 34 cows in 1993. He was paid an advance of £1,613.44 on 4 December 1993. His application is being processed further at present and the balance will be paid within the next two weeks.

109 Mr. Crawford asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan will be paid his mulder compensation which was agreed in June 1993.

The offer of compensation made by my Department on behalf of the European Union was accepted by the person named on 26 January 1994.

Payments are at present being processed and will be made as soon as possible.
