Question:

123 Ms F. Fitzgerald asked the Minister for Equality and Law Reform the progress that has been made in relation to the implementation of the 40 per cent quota by various Government Departments; and if he has satisfied himself with the level of progress made.

The latest information to hand is that approximately 21 per cent of the membership of State boards, but 26 per cent of the direct Government or Ministerial nominees, are women.

I am satisfied with the progress made to date and will continue to monitor appointments made to all boards.
