Question:57 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the percentage of funding under the 1991-1993 Interreg programme which went to agriculture.

Under the Joint Interreg Programme for Northern Ireland and Ireland 1991-1993, about 28 mecu (the equivalent of IR£23 million) was committed to projects under the sub-programme for agriculture, fisheries and forestry. This represents approximately 19 per cent of the total funding approved under Interreg. Funding for the agriculture projects alone represented 5.7 per cent of the total.
