Vol. 443 No. 4

Written Answers. - Domiciliary Care Allowance.

Theresa Ahearn

Question:

177 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Health if he will have arrangements made for an appeal to be held on behalf of a person (details supplied) in Tipperary in relation to the refusal of a domiciliary care allowance; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The payment of domiciliary care allowance in any particular case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, I have asked the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
