Vol. 443 No. 4

Written Answers. - By-Pass Surgery.

Jim Higgins

Question:

184 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo who needs a by-pass will be called for surgery.

An angiogram was performed yesterday, the 30 May, on the patient in question, at University College Hospital, Galway, which will establish whether or not he will require a heart by-pass operation. The results of the angiogram will be assessed by the consultant cardiologist who will discuss the matter with the patient.
