Question:213 Mr. Boylan asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding Arva national school, Arva, County Cavan; the reason progress has not been made in building a new school; if her attention has been drawn to the conditions in the school for pupils and staff; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 201 and 213 together.
I am aware that conditions in Arva national school, Arva, County Cavan are less than satisfactory. A number of proposals to resolve the accommodation difficulties are under active consideration in my Department and these have recently been discussed with the school's board of management.
A decision on the matter will be made shortly.
