Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the planning and social problems which are arising in Dublin city as a result of the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993, which restricts Dublin Corporation's house building programme to within the city boundary; in the circumstances, the plans, if any, he has to ease the restriction and/or phase it in over a period of years; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
