Vol. 443 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Edward Nealon

Question:

117 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when the remainder of grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo.

The person named has already been paid the grants due to him under the 1993 cattle headage scheme. An advance of £336 issued to him on 14 January 1994 and the balance of £84 issued on 17 February 1994. He was not an applicant under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme or any of the 1993 special beef premium schemes.

Question:

118 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a 1993 headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1993 cattle headage scheme has now been processed and payment will issue at an early date.

Question:

119 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a suckler cow grant will be paid to persons (details supplied) in County Sligo.

The registered owner of the herd number quoted applied for grants on five cows under the 1993 suckler cow premium scheme on 23 June 1993. However, since she was not an applicant in 1992 under the suckler cow premium scheme she did not have an automatic right to a quota and could not be paid premium. My Department has no record of an application from her for rights from the national reserve. She was paid the 1993 cattle headage grant on 3 March 1994.

Frank Crowley

Question:

120 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when beef premium will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

The processing of the application of the person named for grants under the November 1993 special beef premium scheme was delayed initially because of an invalid tag number. The problem has now been resolved and payment will be made shortly.
