Question:

134 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the emergency aid, if any, his Department is making available to farmers in south Galway whose lands are affected by flooding annually.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 133 and 134 together.

The cleaning of swallow holes is not a function of my Department. There are no funds available to me for the purpose of paying compensation to farmers in south Galway whose lands are affected by flooding.
