181 Mr. Gallagher (Laoighis-Offaly) asked the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications if he intends to grant UHF licences for the introduction of the new CAMP centralised call-out system for emergencies; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department has recently received applications for the use of UHF frequencies by certain fire services. These applications are under consideration in the context of the ongoing development of a computer aided mobilisation, CAMP, project.
