90 Mrs. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment when funding will be made available for the sewerage scheme in Firies, County Kerry, in view of the fact that a submission has been with his Department since July 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A preliminary proposal for the sewerage scheme at Firies is under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision may be made.
