Vol. 443 No. 7

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gay Mitchell — the need for the immediate introduction of amending legislation or regulations to facilitate the sale of maisonettes and flats in view of legal advice received by Dublin Corporation; (2) Deputy Killeen — the need for an amendment of the decision in relation to Aeroflot pick-up rights at Shannon Airport, particularly in relation to transit passengers from former USSR states; (3) Deputy Deenihan — the need for the Minister for Health to intervene in relation to the pay claim by speech and language therapists; (4) Deputy Quill — the basis on which home-school-liaison teachers have been allocated in view of the failure to allocate such a teacher to schools (details supplied) despite the fact that allocations were made to neighbouring schools where identical factors apply and (5) Deputy Connor — the serious disruption of the farm development service in County Roscommon due to the transfer of agricultural officers from the service leading to suspension of pollution control and other grant-aided activities of the service.

The matters raised by Deputies Connor, Killeen, Deenihan and Quill have been selected for discussion.

I now call on the Clerk of the Dáil to make a statement on the Return to by-election Writs for the constituencies of Mayo West and Dublin South-Central.
