Question:59 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when cattle headage grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
The person named has paid the balance of his June 1993, 22 month, special beef premium on 27 April 1994. He was paid his November 1993 special beef premium on 1 June 1994. He applied for the June 1993, ten month special beef premium on nine animals. Four of these animals were found to have incorrect tag numbers following computer checks. As these have now been resolved his application is being processed further and any payment due will issue in the near future.

My Department has no record of having received an application for 1993 cattle headage from the person named.

62 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the date of application, progress to date and likely date of payment of an application for sheep quota on 59 units, suckler cow premium and suckler reserve quota from a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The application to lease 59 ewe premium rights received from the person named was dated 15 December 1993. His application will be processed within the next two weeks. He will then be informed of the outcome.
The person named applied on 28 March 1994 for 15 premium rights from the 1993 suckler cow reserve.
Processing of these applications will commence within the next two weeks.
