23 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will ensure that people who have leased sheep quotas will receive sanction from his Department to allow payment to issue to the lessees; and when payment will issue in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.
Processing of applications received from flockowners to transfer-lease ewe premium quotas for the 1994 marketing year is ongoing at present. Two applications received on behalf of the person named, one to transfer 35 ewe premium rights permanently and the other to lease 85 ewe premium rights for the 1994 marketing year will be processed without delay.
