Vol. 444 No. 3

Written Answers. - Employment of Disabled Persons.

Noel Ahern

Question:

59 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Finance the provision, if any, that is being made for people with disabilities to be recruited into the Civil Service in the recruitment campaign for clerical assistants now being processed; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As part of current clerical assistant recruitment the Civil Service Commission are holding competitions for the appointment of persons with disabilities to positions as clerical assistant (clerical duties), clerical assistant (typing duties) and clerical assistant (data entry). Separate panels will be set up as a result of these competitions from which persons with disabilities may be appointed.
