141 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Education the means by which the examination scripts and examination papers, which annually amount to 100 tonnes approximately, are recycled in view of the reply to Question 338 of 23 February 1993. [1246/94]

The examination scripts and question papers are disposed of as confidential waste each year by a specialist waste disposal company, selected by competitive tender. The material is pulped and recycled as low grade paper products.
