Vol. 446 No. 1

Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Gay Mitchell — the subject matter of Parliamentary Question No. 229 of 11 October concerning the small schemes programme; (2) Deputy Frances Fitzgerald — the serious implications for the welfare of Irish children of the recent Circuit Court judgment on hearsay and video evidence, and the need to introduce amending legislation; (3) Deputy McGrath — the exclusion of Army officers of the third potential officer class from participation in promotional interviews and the injustice of this decision considering that officers at a more junior level were allowed to participate; (4) Deputy Enda Kenny — school transport in the Glenamoy-Ballina area of County Mayo; (5) Deputy Sheehan — when licences for aquaculture and mariculture development will be issued to applicants.

The matters raised by the following have been selected for discussion:— Deputies McGrath, Sheehan, Gay Mitchell and Enda Kenny.
