273 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Health if he will make special funds available to a person (details supplied) in County Galway whose application for financial aid under the disabled persons home improvement grant scheme has been approved by Galway County Council but which cannot be undertaken due to insufficient funding. [2088/94]

The disabled person's home improvement grant scheme is administered by local county councils on behalf of the Department of the Environment.

I regret that there is no funding available in my Department to assist towards the cost of home improvements for people with a disability.
