Byrne asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs the steps, if any, he has taken or plans to take to make representations to the French authorities about the delays in dealing with the sinking of the Orchidée in September 1992, which resulted in the loss of life of two Irish fishermen; the steps, if any, which have been taken to make concrete the Government's concern about the matter which were expressed during a Dáil debate on the adjournment on 26 October 1994; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
