Standing Order 37: Motion.

I move:

That, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders, with effect from Wednesday, 25th January, 1995, and until further notice in the 27th Dáil, Standing Order 37 shall be amended as follows:

(1) The following shall apply in substitution for subsection (1) (iii):—

(iii) Questions nominated for priority shall be placed on the Order Paper before other Questions to members of the Government, other than the Taoiseach, to be asked on the same day.

(iv) The sequence in which Questions nominated for priority are placed on the Order Paper shall be as follows:

Group

Fianna Fáil

Fianna Fáil

Progressive Democrats

Fianna Fáil

Fianna Fáil.'; and

(2) The following shall apply in substitution for subsection (2) inserted by Order of Dáil Éireann of 14th April, 1994:

(2) Where the fourth or fifth Question nominated for Priority answer is not reached, such Question or Questions shall be answered as Oral Questions on the same day and shall be taken before other Oral Questions for answer on that day.
