Question:

131 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Education the number of full time teachers in primary schools in County Louth; and the number of primary teachers on the panel. [1870/95]

There are 535 full time teachers employed in primary schools in County Louth. There is currently one teacher on the panel from a school in County Louth.

The panels for the 1995/96 school year have not yet been set up. It is expected that these panels will be set up in March 1995.
