Vol. 448 No. 6

Written Answers. - Cork School of Music.

Micheál Martin

Question:

165 Mr. Martin asked the Minister for Education if she will approve the application for an extension to its present building by the Cork School of Music which is a constituent college of the Cork Regional Technical College; and if work will commence as soon as possible. [2781/95]

My Department is at present evaluating a revised submission from the regional technical college in respect of the proposed extension to the Cork School of Music. The evaluation, which is being undertaken in consultation with the director of the regional technical college, is at an advanced stage.

When the evaluation has been completed the proposed project will be considered for approval in the context of the capital moneys available to my Department. As a consequence it is not possible at this stage to indicate when the work will commence.
