Written Answers. - Remedial and Career Guidance Services.
The Government of Renewal made a specific commitment with regard to the expansion of remedial and career guidance at second level. In accordance with that commitment I indicated in my recent statement on the Estimates for 1995 that additional posts will be allocated in 1995 under various headings, including remedial and guidance. Decisions have yet to be taken on the actual number of posts to be allocated under these headings. It has been decided to establish a National Centre for Guidance in Education under the aegis of Léargas, the Exchange Bureau. The centre will be operational shortly.
