Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy O'Leary — the implications for employment in and the future role of the accounts section of the decentralised office of the Department of Justice in Killarney having due regard to paragraph 119 of the programme for A Government of Renewal; (2) Deputy Seán Ryan — the decision taken by the Department of Transport, Energy and Communications and Aer Rianta to enter into a third party handling agreement at Dublin Airport from 1 January 1995; (3) Deputy Broughan — the water supply crisis in Fingal and the northern fringe of Dublin city; (4) Deputy Creed — the enormous inconvenience caused to disabled persons as a result of a decision by the Revenue Commissioners to centralise the processing and certification of fuel repayment claims to vehicle registration offices many of which are inaccessible to the handicapped; (5) Deputy Coughlan — the need to provide adequate funding for the Owenteskna-Leamagowra group water scheme, County Donegal, in 1995; (6) Deputy Dukes — the progress made in relation to the proposed 120 megawatt peat-fired power station in the northwest Kildare-east Offaly area; (7) Deputy Kathleen Lynch — the urgent need to provide increased counselling and support facilities for male victims of sexual assault and abuse; (8) Deputy Eric Byrne — the urgent need to review and update the Register of Prohibited Publications; (9) Deputy Matt Brennan — the urgent need for a remedial teacher for six national schools in the south Sligo area; (10) Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív — the need to review the schemes of grants for people living in remote areas to enable them to attend second level boarding schools; (11) Deputy Martin — the urgent need to resolve the problems facing up to 30 children from the Ballyphelane, Togher and Greenmount areas of Cork city who currently have no second level school places available to them in this area; (12) Deputy Deasy — the difficulties threatening the future of the Cyplas plant at Cappoquin, County Waterford; (13) Deputy O'Malley — the question of concentration of ownership in the Irish newspaper industry; (14) Deputy O'Donoghue — the measures that will be introduced to prevent a recurrence of the incidents which occurred at Lansdowne Road last night; (15) Deputy Theresa Ahearn — the totally unacceptable condition of Scoil Carmel, Cashel, County Tipperary, a school for the mildly mentally handicapped; (16) Deputy Killeen — the need to develop major tourism attractions in County Clare and other western counties while EU funds are available and (17) Deputy Dan Wallace — the threatened loss of over 100 jobs at the Sunbeam factory in Blackpool, Cork.

The matters raised by the following Deputies have been selected for discussion: Deputies Coughlan, Martin, O'Malley and Dan Wallace.
