Vol. 449 No. 4

Written Answers - Refugee Application.

Tony Killeen

Question:

146 Mr. Killeen asked the Minister for Justice when a decision will be made on the application for refugee status by two persons (details supplied) who have been living in this country for a considerable time. [3992/95]

It is not the practice to comment publicly on individual applications for refugee status having regard to the fact that applications by their nature are made in confidence, with an expectation by applicants that such confidence will be preserved. If the Deputy is aware of a particular concern on the part of an applicant or applicants, I would be grateful if she could contact my office privately in order that whatever action is approprate can be taken.
