105 Mr. B. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Defence if he will outline his Department's attitude to the building of a training school for the Irish Navy at Ringaskiddy, County Cork. [1163/95]
The position is that the Department has acquired ten acres of reclaimed foreshore at Ringaskiddy, County Cork. The land is situated a short distance from the Naval base. The question of the provision of new training facilities for the Naval Service on the site is under active consideration in the Department. A preliminary examination of the site has been carried out by Forbairt and a decision will be taken in due course.
