Work on the preparation of the Harbours Bill, 1995, is well advanced. The purpose of the legislation is to reorganise the management structure of harbours by setting up commercial State companies to manage a number of our commercial seaports. I expect to be in position to bring my proposals in this regard to Government very shortly.
