Vol. 449 No. 5

Written Answers. - Farm Retirement Pension.

John O'Leary

Question:

60 Mr. O'Leary asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in the issuing of a certificate of tax free allowances to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry, which is required to enable her to obtain payment of the highest possible pension under the farm retirement scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.[4121/95]

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that a certificate of tax-free allowances will be issued shortly to the taxpayer in question. The delay is due to the volume of correspondence received in connection with the early farm retirement scheme.

The Inspector of Taxes has also written to the taxpayer requesting additional information on receipt of which her tax affairs will be reviewed.
