Vol. 449 No. 5

Written Answers. - Retention of Acute Psychiatric Unit.

Seamus Kirk

Question:

69 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Health if the acute psychiatric unit in St. Brigid's Hospital will be retained; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4104/95]

Limerick East): I presume that the Deputy is referring to St. Brigid's Hospital, Ardee, County Louth, which is the responsibility of the North-Eastern Health Board.

The board informs me that it has no proposals to transfer acute psychiatric services for County Louth from the acute psychiatric unit at St. Brigid's Hospital, Ardee.
