132 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Education if she has received applications for funding from Ardscoil Rís Secondary School, Griffith Avenue, Dublin 9, to build six extra classrooms, renovate the science laboratory, provide a library and build a gymnasium; when she will make a decision in this regard; and if she will make a statement on the matter. An application for additional accommodation at Ardscoil Rís, Griffith Avenue has been received in my Department and a schedule of accommodation to be provided has been agreed with the school authorities. It will comprise of six general classrooms, a library and a general purpose/dining area. Architectural planning has commenced and the Department is awaiting the submission of initial design proposals.
In addition proposals have also been submitted for the refurbishment of the three existing science laboratories at the school. These proposals will be fully considered in the context of the overall development.
