I assume that the Deputy is referring to the consumer protection section within the commerce division of my Department.
While staffing levels have been reduced by one, the deployment of resources within my Department is an ongoing process involving an objective assessment of existing and projected needs based on policy priorities. Resource deployment is not static and is carried out under the normal and proper administrative budget constraints.
