Vol. 451 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Galway School.

Noel Treacy

Question:

91 Mr. N. Treacy asked the Minister for Education if she will make a special grant available to a school (details supplied) in County Galway, in view of the condition of the school and the inequitable conditions in which pupils must be taught therein; the amount of the grant to be allocated; the nature of the works to be executed; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [7136/95]

Following an examination of the accommodation requirements of the school which was carried out in early 1994, it was concluded that the school has an adequate number of teaching spaces in permanent accommodation for its current enrolment. No application from County Galway Vocational Education Committee regarding the refurbishment of the existing accommodation has been received in the Department.
