Question:97 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding a request for one-to-one tuition for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo. [7794/95]
Written Answers. - Individual Tuition.
The person referred to by the Deputy currently attends a special school for mildly mentally handicapped pupils. It is a matter for the school authorities to deploy its resources in a manner that will provide additional support to particular pupils consistent with the overall needs for the situation and the resources available. I understand that the school has made arrangements for this pupil to receive individual tuition three times a week. This arrangement will be reviewed by the school authorities at the end of the current school year.
