105 Mrs. O'Rourke asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the requirements of employment objectives and targets on the disbursement of grants by the various industrial agencies under the aegis of his Department. [7820/95]
As the Deputy will appreciate, the specific conditions regarding the disbursement of grants in respect of particular projects is the responsibility of the various industrial development agencies, and is a matter in which I have no direct function.
However, agencies must of course work within the parameters of overall industrial policy as laid down by Government and industrial development legislation enacted by the Oireachtas. In addition, specific grant programmes operated by the agencies require the approval of my Department and the Department of Finance as appropriate.
