Vol. 452 No. 3

Written Answers. - Galway Flooding Compensation.

Éamon Ó Cuív

Question:

157 Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry whether any further compensation will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Galway for losses suffered during the flooding in south Galway this year in view of the fact that compensation paid to date only covers a fraction of his losses; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7942/95]

The payment already made was an initial one to alleviate hardship, with the possibility of a further payment depending on the results of an on-the-spot inspection. That inspection has now taken place and the case for a further payment is under consideration.
