Question:

167 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Defence if Border duty payments will continue to be made to members of the Defence forces serving in Border areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8067/95]

There are no plans at present to abolish payment of Border duty allowance. The matter is, however, being kept under active review in the developing context of the peace process.

Question:

168 Dr. Moffatt asked the Minister for the Marine in view of the navigational problems being experienced by fishermen and tourist angling operators at Killala, County Mayo, the plans, if any, there are to alleviate the problem by providing assistance to dredge Killala Harbour in the near future. [8076/95]

There are no proposals for dredging at Killala Harbour at present.
