Vol. 452 No. 6

Written Answers. - Admission to Beaumont Hospital.

Noel Ahern

Question:

37 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Health if a person (details supplied) in Dublin who has been waiting for a bed for a number of weeks will be admitted to Beaumont Hospital in view of the fact that the medical five day ward to which he is booked is constantly being used by casualty cases. [8453/95]

Limerick East): I have been informed by Beaumont Hospital that the patient to whom the Deputy refers was placed on the waiting list for admission on the 28 February 1995. In the present circumstances the hospital has been unable to give a precise admission date. He has however been given priority status and will be called for admission as soon as a bed becomes available.
