Question:45 Mr. Ellis asked the Minister for Education the number of retired national and secondary school teachers who are employed by her Department at present and who are also in receipt of pensions. [8439/95]
Written Answers. - Employment of Retired Teachers.
Primary and post-primary teachers are employed by the managerial authorities of schools. My Department is currently paying salary to two pensioned primary teachers who are employed in a temporary capacity of short duration. The payment of pension is suspended for this period of temporary service. The information in relation to the post-primary section is not readily available.
