Vol. 452 No. 8

Written Answers. - Two Teacher Schools.

Mary Harney

Question:

160 Miss Harney asked the Minister for Education the percentage of primary school children who are educated at two-teacher schools; and the percentage of those who have access to the services of a remedial teacher. [8605/95]

A total of 5.5 per cent of all primary school pupils attend two teacher schools. Information regarding the percentage of children attending two teacher schools who have access to the services of a remedial teacher is not readily available within my Department. I have made arrangements for this information to be compiled and it will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
