Vol. 453 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Liam Aylward

Question:

121 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will approve payment under the early retirement scheme from the date of transfer in May 1994 for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny in view of the fact that the delays were with the Valuation Office and not with the application. [9502/95]

An application was received in this case in the local FDS office on 21 April 1995 and is currently being processed. It is a written condition of this scheme that the date from which payment to transferors may be made is the date of receipt of a valid application. To be valid the application must include transfer documents stamped by the Revenue Commissioners. The earliest date from which payment can be made in this case is 21 April 1995 if all the documentation submitted is found to be correct.

Michael Finucane

Question:

122 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry if he will pay reactor and depopulation grants to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact that this person is under financial pressure; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9503/95]

Disinfection of the holding remains to be carried out, and on completion and certification, reactor and depopulation grants will be processed for payment.
