Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Seán Kenny — the urgent need for a remedial mathematics teacher and an additional teacher in the traveller education area in St. Francis senior national school, Priorswood, Dublin 17; (2) Deputy Molloy — an gá atá ann go gceadófar an t-iarratas ó Chomhar Caomhán Teoranta, Inis Oírr, ar fhanán nua a fhorbairt in aice na céibhe; (3) Deputy Joe Walsh — the closure of ESB shops in a number of west Cork towns; (4) Deputy Eric Byrne — the need for urgent action to be taken on the findings and recommendations of the 1994 Annual Report of the Mountjoy Prison Visiting Committee; (5) Deputy Lynch — the pressing need to use the Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers in 1996 to press for concerted action on East Timor; (6) Deputy Donal Moynihan — the closure of ESB shops in the north-west area of Cork; (7) Deputy Broughan — the urgent need for intervention to help resolve the industrial dispute in An Post headquarters; and (8) Deputy Shatter — the need for an independent inquiry into the conduct of the health board within whose area three children were subject to 17 years of sexual and physical assault which resulted in their father being sentenced to 12 years imprisonment by the Central Criminal Court yesterday.

The matters raised by Deputies Lynch, Shatter, Molloy and Sean Kenny have been selected for discussion.
