44 Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Finance if he will give consideration to the undertaking of improvement works on the Kiernaun River, Furbo, County Galway, in order to relieve flooding of lands following the amendment of the Arterial Drainage Acts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9422/95]

The Kiernaun River, Furbo, County Galway, will be considered among other areas, liable to flooding, for inclusion on the priority list of flood relief schemes to be drawn up after the passing of the Arterial Drainage (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 1995.
