Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 20 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Kathleen Lynch — the urgent need to regulate Sunday trading; (2) Deputies O'Hanlon and Kirk — the need for funding for voluntary groups that maintain national graves and monuments; (3) Deputy Brendan Smith — the need to approve Virginia sewerage scheme, County Cavan; (4) Deputy Tom Kitt — the need for action to end the abuse of human rights in East Timor and to support the right of the East Timorese to self-determination; (5) Deputy O'Donoghue — the inadequacy of funding for the Leader II programme in South Kerry; (6) Deputy Flood — the serious situation regarding the housing of a travelling family in Moate, County Westmeath; (7) Deputy Gallagher (Donegal South-West)— the dumping of potentially lethal nerve gas off the north coast of Ireland after the Second World War, the need for an immediate investigation in the matter; and the need for action on the proposed dumping of heavily contaminated oil off the north coast; (8) Deputy Batt O'Keeffe — the need to request the Environmental Protection Agency to introduce a licensing system for all slurry and silage pits, and (9) Deputy Noel Treacy — the inadequate school transport arrangements for children (details supplied) in County Galway.

The matters raised by Deputies O'Hanlon and Kirk, Batt O'Keeffe, Noel Treacy and O'Donoghue have been selected for discussion.
