Question:17 Mr. M. Ahern asked the Minister for Enterprise and Employment the overall cost of overtime payments in his Department and in the State-sponsored bodies under the aegis of his Department. [9408/95]
Written Answers. - Overtime Costs.
In answering the Deputy's question I have taken overtime costs in my Department for the years 1993, 1994 and the first quarter of 1995 as the period on which to base my reply. The overtime cost in 1993 was £432,350, £363,814 in 1994 and £68,720 for the first quarter of 1995.
As overtime costs in the State-sponsored bodies under the aegis of my Department are a day-to-day administrative matter for the bodies concerned I propose to ask these bodies to supply the information directly to the Deputy.
